The Portland Police Bureau reports that two guys were critically hurt when their car crashed into a tree late Saturday night while participating in a street racing event.
According to officials, one man’s injuries are severe. At 11:55 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, police were called to North Marine Drive and North Bybee Lakes Road regarding a crash. Upon arrival, they discovered that the car had slammed into a tree.

Authorities say that because of the severity of the injuries sustained by the two individuals, the bureau dispatched its Traffic Division Major Crash Team to the scene.
