A former lieutenant of the District of Columbia Police has been indicted on a second-degree m*rder charge after he said he @ccidentally sh0t a trainee with his handg*n.
Former DC police officers According to court filings, Lieutenant Jesse Porter Jr. f@tally sh0t Maurica Manyan in the breast on August 4. Porter, a private consultant, led the instruction. The 25-year-old mother underwent this after participating in a library police training exercise.
According to the papers, while Porter’s training group was posing for a photo after the workout at the Anacostia Library, Manyan intervened to adjust her hair and face mask. Porter pulled out a g*n and sh0t her, later telling authorities he mistook it for his practice weapon.
Since Porter’s business did not have liability insurance, Manyan’s family expressed gratitude that a grand jury established probable cause to find Porter committed the offense.
