On Friday, May 04,Β just after midnight, officers from the Metropolitan Police Department were sent to the 3500 block of Hayes Street Northeast in the Deanwood area. According to a watch commander from the MPD’s Sixth District, a male was discovered with blunt force damage to the head. His de@th was ruled an instant loss of life.

Detectives who specialize in hom!cide investigations were sent there. The victim, 47-year-old Marcus Carey, has been named by police. His de@th was mysterious, and no details had been released.
