Portland Police Homicide Detectives have named 38-year-old Jorge Gomez Montejano as the suspect in this case, and a warrant has been made out for his arrest.
The US Marshal’s Service arrested Montejano on May 2, 2023, and he was taken to the Multnomah County Detention Center. Montejano is accused of second-degree murder and using a weapon without permission.
Rene Ramirez Martinez, who was 39 years old, was k!lled in this case. The Medical Examiner stated that the person di*d from a gunshot wound used to kill them.
Rene Ramirez Martinez’s family has been told that he has died, and they have given the public the attached picture. At this time, the family asks for respect.
In the Foster-Powell Neighborhood, someone shot and k!lled a man.

At 7:28 pm on March 9, 2023, police from the East Precinct were called to Southeast 74th Avenue and Southeast Powell Boulevard Frontage Road because shots had been heard. When the police arrived, they found a de@d man near a camp.
