Cracker Barrel said on Monday, 20 March 2023, that it is closing three of its remaining four stores in Oregon. This comes seven months after it closed its Jantzen Beach store.
The company told KGW that employees at the Beaverton, Tualatin and Bend locations were told on Monday, 20 March 2023, that the three stores were closed immediately. Only one Cracker Barrel is still open in Oregon. It is in Medford, which is in Southern Oregon.

Cracker Barrel told KGW that the three new closures are because of how the pandemic has affected their business.
“As a standard course of business, we continually evaluate the performance of our stores, using various criteria to ensure we are meeting the needs of our guests and our business,” the company said.
“With that, we are saddened that we have been unable to overcome the impact the pandemic had on our business and have made the difficult decision to close the Beaverton, Tualatin, and Bend locations.
The decision to close a store is never one we take lightly, and our focus right now is in assisting our impacted employees during this transition.”
The Jantzen Beach Cracker Barrel closed in August of 2022. At the time, the company said the store wasn’t meeting “the needs of our guests and our business” but didn’t say what those criteria were. When employees called KGW, they were told that the store was closed because of security concerns.

Citing the pandemic, Cracker Barrel is closing three locations in Oregon. That means Oregon's 2nd District will be home to the state's sole Cracker Barrel. https://t.co/DJJsFKQJ1I
