An accident that occurred on Thursday in the Hazelwood district of Portland resulted in the death of a motorcyclist and sent the driver of a car to the hospital. At approximately 5:45 p.m. on June 22, officers responded to a complaint of a collision at Southeast Stark Street and 135th Avenue.
When the police came, they discovered that the motorcyclist had died at the scene of the accident and that the driver of a car had been taken to the hospital with injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening. According to the police, Adrian Calvillo-Trujillo, 26 years old, was riding a 2022 black and red Suzuki GSX-R eastbound on Stark at a high rate of speed.
Do you know that the intersection of Northeast Sixth Avenue and Northeast Holladay Street was closed on Friday night (June 23) due to a shooting in the Lloyd area that resulted in the death of one man:
Calvillo-Trujillo collided with the driver’s side of a white 2001 Acura TL that was stopped on 135th to make a westbound turn onto Stark when the driver was waiting to turn northbound onto Stark.
The motorcycle then collided with a stationary and unoccupied 2010 Ford Escape. Calvillo-Trujillo, a resident of Gresham, was this year’s 29th traffic fatality in Portland, according to police.
