According to the authorities that attended to a terrible incident at a campsite in central Arizona, a man was killed after a fatal encounter with a bear.
The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office reports that at around 8:00 a.m. on Friday, the victim, identified as 66-year-old Steven Jackson from Tucson, realized that he had been entangled with the wild animal.
The campground, located around 100 miles north of Phoenix in the peaceful Groom Creek area, was the site of a tragedy. Despite the efforts of the nearby residents to scare the bear away with loud noises, the giant monster managed to drag Mr Jackson a few yards inside the vicinity.

The Sheriff’s Office claims that a gallant resident saw the bear approaching and swiftly shot and killed the animal.

According to official statements, The incident no longer threatens public safety. Despite this, they have used the opportunity to remind people that hunting bears and killing bears is illegal, except in self-defence.
