Before a succession of fronts brings cold temperatures and rain to Portland this weekend, the city will enjoy one last lovely early summer day on Friday. Friday will have persistent high clouds but enough sunshine to bring the temperature in the town up to around 76 degrees.
The National Weather Service predicts that cloud cover will rise overnight as a front that will remain offshore for most of Saturday brings in stratus clouds. Saturday in Portland will have more clouds and lower temperatures. While the coast is expected to see some raindrops, Portland should be fine for the most part. Temperatures will peak at around 69 degrees.
There is a risk of isolated showers (20%) for Portland on Saturday night. Temperatures will go as low as 49 degrees.

Rain is expected to continue on Juneteenth as a deep trough brings uncharacteristically cold, gloomy, and wet weather to the Pacific Northwest on Monday. It’s possible that Monday and Tuesday of next week could go down in history as the days with the lowest daily highs ever recorded.
Temperatures in Portland may have trouble breaking into the low 60s. The typical delight in this season is 75 degrees. On June 19th, the current record low for the highest daytime temperature is 61 degrees, established in 1964.
