On Saturday, June 3, night, the CareOregon Starlight Parade returned to Portland’s streets with the help of a host of last-minute volunteers.
Volunteers were mainly needed for the Starlight Parade, organizers of the Rose Festival noted earlier in the week. People helped out, and the Starlight Parade went on as planned.
The 2023 Grand Marshal was Poison Waters, and the event kicked off at 8 p.m. on Naito Parkway, close to the CityFair, and concluded in Providence Park. The floats in the annual Starlight Parade lighted the streets of Portland.

Lights and glow sticks were used to illuminate the floats, musicians, and performers in this procession. The parade included bands, rodeo queens, vintage automobiles, and more. Hundreds of thousands of spectators packed the streets.
