The 2023 Oregon Doodle for Google was awarded to a middle school student from Portland. Out of tens of thousands of entries, Prakruthi Rao of Tumwater Middle School was chosen to represent Oregon in Google’s 15th annual Doodle for Google Contest.

Rao’s essay centers on her expressions of appreciation. I appreciate my little sister very much. My sister turned five this past year, and I finally had to wait about eight years to get a sibling. For us, she was the stuff of legend, a genuine miracle. I’ve been so preoccupied with my work lately that I haven’t been making the most of our time together.
She continued, “But creating this picture of my sister and me playing a board game opened my eyes to the invaluable friendships that siblings can provide. You can view and vote on the compilation of all 55 winning entries from throughout the states and territories at doodle4google.com.
