A sh00ting in Southeast Portland’s Centennial neighborhood has left two people de@d, according to the Portland Police Bureau (PPB).
The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning, 30 April 2023, and officers responded to a report of a sh00ting in the 16600 block of Southeast Naegeli Drive at around 3:14 a.m.
When the police arrived, they discovered an adult male who had already succumbed to his injuries. Shortly after, they found a second man d*ad nearby. The identity of the two victims is yet to be confirmed by the medical examiner.
The suspect or suspects involved in the sh00ting had fled the area before the police arrived, and as of yet, no arrests have been made.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and the police have closed Southeast Naegeli Drive between Southeast Powell Boulevard and Southeast 174th Avenue while they carry out their work.
The motive for the sh00ting is currently unknown. However, following the incident, detectives from the PPB’s Homicide Unit and Forensic Evidence Division took over the investigation. Witnesses are being sought to determine any information that could lead to the arrest of the perpetrator(s).

The PPB has appealed to members of the public to come forward with any information they may have about the sh00ting. They have also called for anyone who witnessed suspicious behavior in the area during the sh00ting to contact the police immediately.
