HILLSBORO, Ore. βAfter looking all over the country for months, the board of directors of the Hillsboro School District chose Assistant Superintendent Travis Reiman to lead the district.
Superintendent Mike Scott, who is leaving his job, is replaced by him.
βReiman is well respected in the community and across the State of Oregon as a leader for leveraging the Districtβs rich diversity of people and industry to the advantage of all students,”Β the district wrote in a Tuesday news release, announcing his new job. “He has experience, skills, and success in the areas of instructional leadership, curriculum development, family engagement STE(A)M education, career and technical education, and partnership development with local industry and institutes of higher education.”

He started his job at North Eugene Alternative High School and has worked as a teacher and a professional development specialist in northwest Oregon and Mexico.
Since 1998, Reiman and his family have lived in the Hillsboro area.
