According to the police, a man and a woman were killed by gunfire on Wednesday evening, 5 April 2023, in the Woodlawn district of Portland.
A report came in shortly after 9 p.m. of a person shot, leading police to the 2000 block of Northeast Lombard Street, a predominantly industrial stretch a few blocks east of Woodlawn Park.
There, the cops discovered the lady who had passed away. According to the Portland Police Bureau, investigators had just started scouring the area for evidence when they found the second body.
The identities of the victims have not been made public at this time. No arrests have been made.

When gathering evidence, the police shut down Northeast Lombard Street between the 18th and 22nd Avenues. The doors to the buildings have been unlocked.
If the fatalities are determined to have resulted from murders, they will represent Portland’s 20th and 21st killings in 2023. The previous year at this time, there had been a total of 26 individuals killed in homicides.
