PORTLAND, Ore. — A Portland man faces multiple charges, including attempted murder, after he pulled a gun from inside a home in Milwaukee Thursday night, March 16, 2023, and entered a nearby home, authorities said.
Around 10:30 p.m., shots were heard on Southeast Harrison Street and Southeast 29th Avenue, so the Milwaukie Police Department went there to check it out.
According to the Sources, Police said that Simon Brassard, who was 22 at the time, was trying to leave the scene when they got there and were able to stop him.
The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, the Portland Police Bureau’s air unit, and a crisis negotiator were all sent to the scene.
After talks, Brassard turned himself in and was taken into custody. He was taken to the Clackamas County Jail and charged with trying to kill someone, illegally using a weapon, and making threats.
