Building collapses in Brazil, k!lling at least 11

According to the Secretariat of Social Defense (SDS) of the state of Pernambuco in northeastern Brazil, at least 11 peopleβ€”four of them childrenβ€”were murdered when a building fell on Friday.

The ages of the deceased youngsters were five, eight, twelve, and sixteen, according to CNN Brasil, quoting SDS.

The Fire Department also extricated a 19-year-old’s body from the debris on Saturday morning.

According to SDS, which was cited by CNN Brazil, three persons were saved after a structure fell in the Janga district on the outskirts of the state capital Recife.

Ten people were discovered dead in the rubble, according to CNN Brazil, which cited SDS, while one person was brought out alive but later passed away at the hospital.

Search and rescue efforts at the Conjunto Beira Mar structure are still looking for three people, including two children.

On Friday, SDS announced on its Facebook page that firefighters and public safety teams had been dispatched to the region to assist with the ongoing rescue efforts at the Conjunto Beira Mar building.
