Burger King South Carolina claimed it has fired the assistant manager who is accused of serving customers French fries that were purportedly taken out of a garbage can.
Burger King issued a statement to The Post on Thursday that strongly denounced Jamie Major’s alleged acts and stated that she had been fired by the neighborhood franchise owner.
“These allegations do not align to the brand’s commitment to quality food and service and creating an exceptional Guest experience,” a company representative wrote.
“The employee in question has been terminated by the Franchisee of this location. The Franchisee is cooperating with local authorities, and because this remains an ongoing investigation, we are unable to share additional details at this time,” the statement continued.
Employee Accused of Tampering with Food
Following her arrest on a felony charge of tampering with food on Monday, Major lost her job as a result of allegations that the 39-year-old Burger King employee mixed freshly cooked fries with French fries taken out of the garbage.
On July 9, Union Police Department officers were dispatched to the burger restaurant on Duncan Bypass in Union due to a reported disturbance. Police officers saw two ladies yelling, threatening, and cursing at Burger King employees.
