On Friday, June 2, police reported that they had arrested 20 persons concerning a stolen vehicle operation in the east of the Portland metropolitan area.
The East Precinct of the Portland Police Department worked with their counterparts in Gresham and the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office to carry out the operation.
Twelve stolen automobiles were recovered, along with three illegally-possessed firearms, one of which was also stolen. Twenty persons were arrested, and 15 warrants were issued. According to reports, seven individuals managed to evade capture throughout the operation.
