Police allege that a vehicle struck a Fairfax County Public Schools bus while they were preoccupied, and the driver was subsequently charged.
According to a tweet that the Fairfax County Police Department posted, the collision occurred on Tuesday, May 16, at approximately 8:45 a.m. in the 5200 block of Inverchapel Road, located in the North Springfield neighborhood of Fairfax County-
Phone down, eyes up. Today around 8:45am in the 5200 blk of Inverchapel Rd, a sedan struck a school bus. No children were injured as a result. According to the reports of the police, the collision did not cause any injuries to the children riding on the bus.
