Tim Robinson’s Early Life

Tim Robinson was born in Detroit, Michigan, on May 23, 1981. His parents separated when he was a little child, and he spent the majority of his childhood years in Clarkstown, Michigan, where he also attended Clarkstown High School. After high school, in 2000, Tim enrolled in weekend improv classes at Second City Detroit.

After touring with the Second City ensemble out of Detroit, Tim finally joined Second City Chicago. 2011 saw the cancellation of his CBS sitcom “Friend Me,” in which he was a series regular.

Robinson’s career took off after he made an appearance as a featured player on “Saturday Night Live” (SNL) during the 2012–2013 season. After one season, he requested to move from the cast to the writing team. His rise to fame as a national comedic hero occurred during this crucial period for him.
