Who is Jason Mrazβs Wife?
Jason Mraz has had two marriages throughout his life. Jason Mraz’s first wife is Sheridan Edley. 2001 saw their marriage. However, they separated the next year. The singer-songwriter and close friend Tristan Prettyman proposed to Mraz on Christmas Eve 2010; the pair split up six months later.
On October 25, 2015, Mraz married Christina Carano in a secret ceremony in Mechanicsville, Virginia, the site of his birth. On June 22, 2023, Mraz and Carano made their divorce public. The 46-year-old “Have It All” singer discussed accepting who he is after coming out to the public in 2018 in an interview with GLAAD. He is openly discussing his occasionally difficult path toward self-acceptance since coming out as LGBTQ+. We’ve included a post about this interview below:

He also talked about how the Dancing with the Stars competitions have helped him grow as a person. He declared:
βI had to play out a lot of other scenarios before I arrived here. Itβs both hard to do those and hard to unravel those, and what Iβm basically describing is a divorce, you know? And thatβs very hard. You carry a lot of shame, guilt.β
Recently featured in Out100, Out magazine’s annual list of the year’s most influential LGBTQ+ people, Mraz talked about feeling driven to make peace with his past while moving forward with self-acceptance in an interview. He declared:
βYou want to heal as many relationships of the past as possible and at the same time, step into this new acceptance and new identity or whatever Iβm claiming, and thatβs also hard. So being on the Out100 isβ¦ Itβs nice to be acknowledged.β
Mraz, who is presently competing with partner Daniella Karagach on season 32 of Dancing With the Stars, claimed that the producers of the show were initially drawn to his dance-heavy music video for βI Feel Like Dancing.β
The musician said that even while he has been enjoying the journey, he hadn’t expected it to be as emotionally charged as it has been. He clarified:
βAll day youβre looking at yourself in the mirror, and that can be hard for anybody, any human, to accept themselves looking in the mirror. On top of it, then my partner is asking me to move in ways that Iβve never moved before, and my reaction is, βI look silly.β And then you break through that and itβs like, βOK, I feel kinda cool.β And then it eventually becomes confidence, and so it is a journey.β
Every week, Mraz claims that studying his dance routines is similar to learning a metaphor for life, in which there are moments when you wake up feeling “uncomfortable for no reason at all.”
