Mike Anderson Obituary: A Tribute to a Remarkable Life!

Michael Arthur Anderson was born on December 24, 1955, in Spencer, Iowa, to his parents Arthur Anderson and Maureen Anderson, whose maiden name was Gruwell. Sadly, Mike passed away on July 26, 2023, at St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer, Iowa, where he had been living since 2013.

Mike went to school in Spencer and got his GED in 1989. When he was younger, he traveled between Spencer and his father’s home in Sarasota, Florida, where he worked as a welder. He also lived for a little while in New Orleans.

However, he settled in Spencer, Iowa, in 1986. Despite having a stroke that made him use crutches later in life, he continued to walk around Spencer for miles.
