The highly anticipated MonsterVerse series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters will premiere on Apple TV+ in November, as reported in the most recent issue of TV Guide (via Twitter/ X). Matt Shakman of WandaVision directs the pilot episode of Kaiju based on a script by Chris Black.

Apple TV+ Orders MonsterVerse Series “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters”
According to the synopsis, “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” follows “two siblings following in the footsteps of their father to uncover their family’s connection to the secretive organization known as Monarch” after “the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco and the shocking revelation that monsters are real.”
In the 1950s and again fifty years later, when Monarch is threatened by what Army officer Lee Shaw knows, “clues lead them into the world of monsters and ultimately down the rabbit hole to Shaw. Over the course of three generations, this epic tale unveils long-kept secrets and explores the far-reaching effects of catastrophic events.
Black also serves as the showrunner for Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, which he co-created and executive produced with Matt Fraction. Kurt Russell, Wyatt Russell, Kiersey Clemons, Anna Sawai, Anders Holm, Ren Watabe, Joe Tippett, Mari Yamamoto, and Elisa Lasowski are among those included in the cast.
Andy Goddard, Takemasa Arita, Andrew Colville, Joby Harold, Tory Tunnell, and Hiro Matsuoka serve as executive producers.
Apple has shown instant interest in expanding the MonsterVerse through a series after Legendary Pictures approached them following the $467 million worldwide movie office triumph of Godzilla vs. Kong.
In addition to the planned TV adaptation, the studio will also release Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, the fifth installment in the blockbuster film franchise, on April 12, 2024.
