Pixel 8 Pro Release Date and Price Leaked
The Pixel 8 Pro is expected to be unveiled at the October 4 Made by Google event that Google has scheduled. Based on the Pixel 7 Pro’s release date from a year ago, we may see a release date of October 11 for the Pixel 8 Pro.
Since there have been no rumors regarding a price cut for the Pixel 8 Pro, we can only assume that Google will maintain the same pricing structure as the Pixel 7 Pro. The Pixel 8 Pro will feature a few visually distinct design updates. Renders from OnLeaks suggest that the Pixel 8 Pro will have a flat display rather than a curved one, altering the phone’s aesthetic from that of the Pixel 7 Pro.
According to one source, the panel would have fewer pixels than the standard Pixel 8 but more than the Pixel 7 Pro’s QHD. According to the same source, the brightness of the Pixel 8 Pro’s display would increase from 1,400 to 1,600 nits.
Renders from OnLeaks and other sources showing off Google’s new case designs confirm that the company’s trademark rear camera bar will be returning. The Pixel 7 Pro has three cameras, but unlike its predecessor, they are now all housed under a single glass panel.

Leaked wallpapers and a Google-leaked photograph of the Pixel 8 Pro give us a glimpse at the device’s potential color schemes. These hints point to eliminating the Hazel color choice from the Pixel 7 Pro and its replacement with black, white, and blue.
The Pixel 8 Pro may be an eSIM-only device, like the U.S. variant of Apple’s iPhone 14 series from last year, though this is difficult to tell from the renders. If you still have a real SIM card and want to utilize the Pixel 8 Pro, you may need to get rid of it.
