During the Sunday afternoon Thunder Over Michigan air show, two passengers ejected from a jet that later crashed.
The Wayne County Airport Authority said that neither person had serious injuries but that both were sent to a nearby hospital as a safety measure.
According to the airport administration, the plane subsequently crashed into a parking lot of an adjacent apartment building, striking many empty vehicles. It further stated that nobody inside the apartment building was hurt.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the two occupants who parachuted from the plane landed on Belleville Lake.
According to the agency, the two people ejected from the MiG-23 jet just south of Willow Run Airport, close to the city of Ypsilanti.

The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board will look into the event.
The two-day airshow festival Thunder Over Michigan’s organizers stated the show would end after a “situation,” but they provided no additional information.
The post instructed people to peacefully leave the airfield by getting into their cars. As we manage traffic in the region, kindly be patient.
