The suspect in an early morning arson incident that occurred in Clackamas County is currently being sought by investigators.
According to the Clackamas Fire District, workers were dispatched to the Wilco Farm Store located on Molalla Avenue in Oregon City at approximately 1:30 in the am on Tuesday (27 June).
It was stated that when firefighters arrived, they discovered a fire smoldering under bales of hay and straw next to a loading zone at a warehouse.
A sprinkler system that was activated in response to the fire was able to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading further until firefighters could reach at the scene.
After examining security footage, investigators came to the conclusion that a suspect was seen on camera setting fire to the hay, remaining at the scene to watch the flames grow, and then fleeing the area.
