Anne Marie Tiernon, a longtime anchor for WTHR-13 News in Indianapolis, Ind., has been missing from the screen for several weeks. Many viewers wonder about her whereabouts and well-being, as she is a familiar and respected face in the local news scene.
On Monday, Nov. 6, 2023, Tiernon finally shared a sobering update on her health and the reason behind her absence. In a Facebook post, Tiernon revealed that she was injured in an accident in the woods over a month ago.
“She did not provide any details about the nature of the cause of the accident, but she said that her injuries were serious, but not life-threatening. She also said that her doctors recently determined that another surgery was warranted and that she was preparing for that and focusing on healing and recovery.”
Tiernon thanked her fans and colleagues for their kind messages and support and expressed her gratitude for surviving the accident. She also said that she trusted in Godβs plan and knew that every storm ran out of rain. She ended her post by saying that she was off to make her health a priority.
