Kazue Kato’s Blue Exorcist manga is legendary, and it follows the adventures of Rin Okumura, the devil’s own son. Because Satan’s blood courses through Rin’s veins, the boy can tap into Satan’s abilities.
Despite this, Rin was compelled to take actions that ultimately resulted in the death of his own father; the Satan in this story is just as warped as his counterparts in other mythology. The guardian of Rin and his twin brother is killed by Satan, prompting Rin to take control of his abilities and put an end to Satan once and for all.
A-1 Pictures decided to adapt Blue Exorcist into an anime in 2011 because of how fascinating the tale is. The second season of the anime debuted in 2017, and a third season was announced in 2022.
After what seems like an eternity, we finally have a date on which Rin’s demonic abilities will be unleashed upon the world.
When Can We Expect to See Blue Exorcist Season 3?
Sources close to Satan confirm production on season 3 has begun. There is no official word on when the season will premiere, but January 2024 seems like a fair bet.

The third season of Blue Exorcist promises much, but it may come at a high price, much like everything else Satan promises. It’s feasible that the wait for season 3 will be even longer than the half-decade that passed between seasons 1 and 2. Maybe Satan wants Blue Exorcist readers to feel as low as possible so he can more easily steal their souls.
Who is Producing the Third Season of Blue Exorcist?
A-1 Pictures will produce season 3 of “Prince of Darkness,” so says the Prince himself. The first two seasons of Blue Exorcist were produced there, after all. After all, it was probably they who struck the deal with the devil. A-1 have done what else?
The Seven Deadly Sins, Sword Art Online, and Fate/Apocrypha are about all I’ve read or seen recently. I have a feeling that Blue Exorcist season 3 is in capable hands. …the wrong hands. Having claws and all that.
