Three council seats, one citywide electorate
Totals in the three council contests range from 22,168 votes in Ward 3 to 22,846 in Ward 1. The city’s 2026 candidate packet says the charter provides for six councilors “elected-at-large,” with two councilors living in each of three wards. On the state site, each ward contest covers the same 16 precincts.
The packet lists Cristian Salgado as holder of the Ward 1, Position A seat, the only one of the nine candidates the packet lists as a councilor. It lists Kipperlyn Sinclair and Olivia Alcaire in the Ward 2 and Ward 3 seats; neither is in a council contest on the state page. Pamphlet backgrounds for all nine are in our Oct. 20 guide to the council candidates.
Measure 34-355 crosses county lines
Unlike the council seats, the school bond reaches beyond Washington County. The state’s shared-contest page lists 48 precincts for the measure, and the county pages break down the total. Washington County shows 22,902 yes and 13,918 no votes; the remaining one yes and nine no votes in the all-county total come from Multnomah and Yamhill counties, by our calculation from the state’s totals.
The state site lists the measure under the caption “Bonds Fixing Failing & Aging Infrastructure; Improving Safety, Vocational Facilities.” Our Oct. 19 explainer on Measure 34-355 covers what the bond would cost on a property tax bill.
Two county board races
The county page also carries two Washington County Commission contests. The at-large seat spans 155 precincts on the state site and has 149,064 votes counted, while the District 4 seat spans 40 precincts and has 34,031.
The county’s commissioner district map shows District 4 covering much of Hillsboro, including the Civic Center; parts of the city fall in other districts.
Following the count to Dec. 10
For updates before then, the city’s Nov. 4 election notice directs residents to the Secretary of State’s site, where it says results “will be updated at regular intervals.” The state page, in turn, points readers to Washington County’s website for a schedule of approximate posting times.
To check their own ballot, voters can sign up for BallotTrax alerts or look it up on Oregon’s My Vote site, the notice says. The state page lists Washington County Elections at 2925 NE Aloclek Drive in Hillsboro, (503) 846-5800. The candidate packet sets the council terms on this ballot at four years, from Jan. 1, 2027, through Dec. 31, 2030.
