Report: Lamar Jackson "Not Afraid" To Pull Surprising Contract Move (Latest News)

Lamar Jackson, the quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, is now scheduled to join the 2022 season under an agreement that is about to expire. Although this is subject to change, it does not appear that an extension will be granted at this time.

This past Friday, NFL insider Jeff Darlington provided an update on the status of contract negotiations between Baltimore Ravens running back Lamar Jackson and the team.

Jackson, a former Most Valuable Player, is not worried about playing this season without the assurance of a long-term agreement,

According to Darlington, "Lamar Jackson is a different person," and because of this, "he is not frightened to go into this season and play this season without a new deal."

Jackson has shown up for the beginning of training camp even though there is a lot of doubt surrounding the situation with his contract.

"At the end of the day, I want to come out on top. Jackson stated, "All I want to do becomes great." "All I want to do is collaborate with my brothers. It would be inconsiderate of me to leave them hanging like that. That is not who I am. That's never been me."

Jackson has given the impression that he will not negotiate a new deal after the first game of the regular season, which will take place on September 11 against the New York Jets.
