Portage Man Killed In Car-motorcycle Crash In Jackson (Latest News)

According to the Jackson police department, a motorcyclist who was 38 years old passed away after being involved in a collision with a car on Friday morning.

A collision involving many vehicles occurred at the intersection of Cooper Street and Porter Street in the vicinity of the northern city limits of Jackson, Mississippi, at around 6:45 in the morning on August 5.

the driver of the motorcycle, who has been identified as Tyrel Caldwell of Portage, was pronounced dead at the site not long after the officers arrived.

Caldwell was riding a Honda motorcycle southbound on Cooper Street when, according to the police, he entered the lane designated for left turns in order to pass a car in front of him

A Chevrolet Trailblazer that had stopped off of Porter in order to make a left turn onto Cooper was struck by a motorcycle that was still heading south in the lane designated for left turns

A woman of 42 years old was the only one in the Trailblazer, and she was also the driver. The authorities have not yet disclosed whether or whether she sustained injuries in the collision.

The Michigan Department of Transportation made the announcement at 7:07 in the morning on Friday that the intersection would be closed.
