Focus Hillsboro covers news for Hillsboro, Oregon, and the communities around it in Washington County.
We report on the things that shape daily life here: city council and county decisions, public safety and the courts, schools, transportation, housing, local business and the region’s tech employers. Our goal is simple: tell readers what happened, why it matters to them, and where the information came from.
How we report
Every story starts from a source a reader can check: city and county records, court filings, police and sheriff releases, state agency data, public meetings and interviews. We link to those sources whenever they are public. When we get something wrong, we fix it and say so on the story. See our Corrections Policy and Editorial Standards.
Who we are
Focus Hillsboro is published by Flaunt Weekly LLC, a U.S. company registered in Wyoming (filing ID 2023-001369727). Our small newsroom works remotely. We do not have an office in Hillsboro, so we rely on public records, official sources and direct contact with the people involved in each story.
