85-Year-Old Woman Airlifted to Hospital After Crash

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Rosalie K. Ems, 85, of Hillsboro, was hurt in a two-vehicle collision on Tishomingo Road, west of Vatterott Lane, north of Hillsboro, on Friday afternoon, August 18.

According to the report, Russell A. Busch, 38, of Imperial, was driving a westbound 1990 Dodge Ram 150 pickup when Ems, in a southbound 2008 Chevrolet Impala, backed out from a driveway onto Tishomingo Road into his path. The front of the pickup struck the front left side of the automobile.

For Busch, there were no injuries reported. Ems, on the other hand, suffered just minor injuries and was transported by Valle Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in southern St. Louis County.

The patrol noted that Ems was not wearing a seat belt and that Busch was not.
