Early on Saturday, a 12-year-old child was shot and killed in St. Paul’s North End; a 14-year-old man was detained and is facing manslaughter charges, according to police.
Police were summoned just before 5 a.m. to the 200 block of Stinson Street West in response to an allegation that a young guy had been shot. When they got there, they discovered a 12-year-old who appeared to have been shot.
The mother gave the boy’s name as Markee Jones, and he was taken to Regions Hospital, where he passed away.
