Oregon's Linebacker Corps Gets a Major Boost with Addition of Two 4-Stars

With the addition of two highly-regarded recruits from the same area this week, the Oregon Ducks were able to significantly improve the quality of their linebacker group.

Dylan Williams, a four-star linebacker from Long Beach Poly (Calif.), gave them his commitment on Friday.

30 additional schools extended offers to Williams (6-foot-2, 210 pounds), including Michigan State, UCLA, Washington, and USC. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, he is ranked No. 17 at his position and No. 18 overall in the state of California.

After that, the Ducks made another significant acquisition at this position when four-star linebacker Kamar Mothudi from Los Alamitos, California, declared his commitment.

Mothudi (6-foot-3, 220 pounds) is the 20th-ranked linebacker in the state and is ranked 20th among linebackers in his class. Many of the same institutions, including Michigan State, Utah, and Washington, were also interested in him.

With 20 firm commitments as of right now, Oregon’s 2024 class is No. 8 in the country.
