It’s a done deal. The longest drag artist stage presentation currently belongs to Portland, according to Guinness World Records.
The two-day Drag-A-Thon was held by Darcelle’s, the renowned drag cabaret in Old Town, and they formally broke the record on Wednesday.
The announcer who verified the record on Wednesday afternoon remarked, “Today in Portland, Oregon, USA, you had a time of 48 hours, 11 minutes and 30 seconds, and you have the new Guinness World Record title,” as confetti poured down on a yelling crowd of supporters.
36 hours, 36 minutes, and 40 seconds served as the previous world record.
CEO of Wildfang and Drag-A-Thon producer Emma Mcilroy declared, “We have blown it out of the water.”

Since the Drag-A-Thon began on Monday afternoon, 60 performers and 60 emcees have taken the stage while 600 songs have been played, according to the organizers. On Wednesday, just before 5 a.m., it was over.
According to performer Bolivia Carmichaels, “There are so many fantastic queens, local and from around the country, that came together just for this event.”
Only Portland, according to Mcilroy, could have established this record.
“Portland is the only city that could have accomplished this, I swear. Portland is the only city where people will gather at 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. to watch a drag act, according to Mcilroy.

They claim the concert has a deeper message despite the fact that these musicians have attracted an audience and sold more than 2,500 tickets.
Mcilroy claimed that the purpose of the event was to oppose national legislation that outlaws drag shows.
The moment has come, according to Carmichaels, “for us all to stand together and let the world know that in America, we are free to be exactly who we are.”
Additionally, Wildfang and Darcelle’s raised over $250,000 for the Trevor Project, a charity that helps LGBTQ+ adolescents in need.
