The NYPD apprehended an active shooter who went on a random shooting rampage.
The NYPD reacted to many calls about a gunman on Saturday coming from Queens and Brooklyn.
In both the Hillside and Jamaica neighborhoods of Queens, a man riding a scooter opened fire on a crowd of people before fleeing the scene of each shooting. And according to the NYPD, there was yet another gunshot in Brooklyn.
A 21-year-old man in Brooklyn was the assailant’s first victim when he started firing at 11:10 am. The 21-year-old was shot in the left shoulder as the man approached him. According to the NYPD, the victim was taken to Brookdale Hospital and is now in stable condition.

The same insane assailant on the scooter shot an 86-year-old man in the back 17 minutes later in Queens. When the victim arrived at Jamaica Hospital, doctors declared him dead.
A 44-year-old man was shot in the face at 11:35 am in the Hillside neighborhood of Queens, near the corner of Hillside Avenue and 126 Street. The man was taken to a nearby hospital, where the NYPD reported he is still in critical condition.
A male 63-year-old victim was shot in the right shoulder less than two minutes later. The NYPD reported that he was taken to Jamaica Hospital, where he is still listed in stable condition.
An individual of interest, a male 25-year-old, was detained. He has been arrested once before in the New York City region. Along with the suspect, police found a 9mm pistol, an extended magazine, and extra ammunition.
According to the NYPD, the shooter shot four persons in all, killing one and wounded three others.
