According to the Portland police department, a guy who is accused of threatening to shoot law enforcement was brought into custody on Thursday (29 June).
Ryan Ramsey contacted the appropriate authorities and turned himself in. In the 1100 block of Congress Street, he was apprehended by law enforcement and taken into custody.
The police reported that Ramsey did not possess any weapons, was “very cooperative,” and that the “public should feel safe.” The suspect was arrested and taken into the Cumberland County Jail, and the district attorney is still working out the particular charges at this time, according to the police.

During the evening on Sunday, Ramsey is accused of making threats to shoot members of law enforcement. The campus of the University of Southern Maine in Gorham went into a “shelter-in-place” mode while authorities searched a nearby forested area for Ramsey, but they were unsuccessful.
