The shooting of two deputies on Friday morning (30 June) in unincorporated Clackamas County has prompted an inquiry into the incident. The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies responded to a burglary complaint shortly after 7:00 a.m. and an officer-involved shooting occurred near the intersection of Southeast Johnson Creek Boulevard and Southeast Bell Avenue.
Two deputies have been wounded and transported to local hospitals. According to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Two individuals have been taken into custody, and the sheriff’s office reports that there is no threat to the general public.
