The next day, Colombian authorities announced that an initial toxicology analysis of Hawkins’ urine tests revealed that he had ten substances in his system at the time of his death, including opioids, benzodiazepines, tricyclic antidepressants, and THC. The National Institute of Forensic Medicine of Colombia stated that it would “continue the medical studies to achieve total clarification of the events that led to Taylor Hawkins’ death” and that the attorney general’s office would investigate his cause of death in a “timely” manner.
