Man Convicted of Murder in 2021 Near Aloha Apartment Complex

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reported that the man who had been suspected of shooting and murdering another man outside an Aloha apartment complex in 2021 had been found guilty of second-degree murder.

Herbert Rabago was also found guilty of illicit weapon possession and unlawful weapon use. He has previously served two prison terms for felony assault and unlawful use of a weapon.

In February of 2021, Rabago fatally shot Jeremy Lee Covey. According to authorities, Covey was in his vehicle during the incident. As he exited the vehicle and called for assistance, a friend of Covey drove him to an urgent care facility, where he later died, according to officials.
