Vancouver police said Sunday, June 04, that they had located the mother and her two young children, who had been reported missing after she fled the city Saturday night while experiencing a mental health crisis.

Vancouver police claimed that Bethany Shaffer, her son, age 10, and her daughter, age 7, were high-risk missing persons. On Saturday evening, around 5:30, Shaffer, 35, was last seen driving the kids out of the house.

Then, at about 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, Vancouver police said, “Bethany Shaffer along with her two children were contacted and their welfare checked.” They have been removed as missing persons, and the family has been notified.” There were no more details available at this time.
