Oregon Sheriff’s Office Looking for Missing Alzheimer’s Patient Who Last Seen North of Bend

At 1:50 in the morning on June 1st, 2023, the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) was informed that Robert “Bob” Fravel was found near Pilot Butte in Bend.

According to the DCSO, Mr. Fravel appeared in good condition and had a positive attitude despite spending significant time outside.

“We would like to thank the community for their assistance with attempting to locate Mr. Fravel,” Wall added. “We would also like to thank Deschutes County Search and Rescue volunteers, and the City of Bend Police Department for their dedication and service to this community.”

On Wednesday, May 31, evening, it was initially reported that Fravel had gone missing. The District of Columbia Sheriff’s Office expressed gratitude to the community for providing assistance throughout the search for Mr. Fravel.

The sheriff’s office encouraged residents between the southernmost tip of Redmond and the northernmost tip of Bend to examine their properties and install video cameras while the search continued. “Bob knows his name and has a friendly demeanor,” the sheriff’s office said.
