A business owner in the area said he had lost tens of thousands of dollars due to the rise in violence in Northeast Portland.
Navis Pack and Ship, located at 13107 NE Airport Way, has been targeted by vandals and thieves many times over the past two years, according to owner Michael Angelechio.
Angelechio claims he has no idea how long his firm will last due to constant losses, such as stolen catalytic converters, broken into cars, and hundreds of dollars in cash.
“I represent thousands of businesses asking the same questions: What do we do? Where do we turn? I just hope that our state and local governments are hearing these pleas and doing something different,” he said. Angelechio claims he has repeatedly contacted law enforcement with no results.
