At the beginning of this week, TriMet announced that it would increase the price of an average adult one-way fare by 30 cents.
The fare increase for adult users will be the first in almost a decade, as the board of directors of TriMet only needed one vote to approve the 12% increase. The price hike of thirty cents will take effect on January 1, 2024.

This is our first fare increase for Adult riders in over a decade. Most frequent riders will not be affected, as this increase only applies to 2½-Hour Tickets and Day Passes. Month Pass and Annual Pass prices will stay the same.
