North Portland Mansion Reduced to Beams by Fire

On Thursday, May 04 morning, firefighters were able to put out a fire that had charred a portion of a house in North Portland down to its support beam.

Around 10:30 in the morning, according to Portland Fire & Rescue, crews arrived at the fire near North Farragut Street and North Albina Avenue. PF&R tweeted that firemen had arrived at the site exactly ten minutes later when they announced that the main body of the fire had been put out.

Photos taken at the incident show smoke pouring between what seems to be burnt support beams on the rear of the home.

There has been no report of any injuries as of yet. The authorities are now attempting to figure out what started the fire.
