A four-year-old boy died of mysterious injuries, and his father has been arrested and charged with murder.
Portland Police report, At 12:32 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, police from the East Precinct were sent to the 6400 block of Northeast Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard in the Piedmont Neighborhood to help paramedics.
The young child had been hurt very badly and was out of it. He was taken by paramedics to Legacy Emanuel Hospital, but even though doctors tried to save his life, he died from his injuries.

Marquavious D. Ware, the child’s father, was brought into the Multnomah County Detention Center for second-degree murder and first-degree criminal mistreatment.
