Tragedy struck on Wednesday afternoon, 3 May 2023, as a driver lost his life in a single-vehicle crash in the 5900 block of North Marine Drive, Portland.
According to the police report, live by Oregonlive, the accident occurred when the driver crashed into a pole. Officers arrived at the site shortly after receiving a call at around 1 p.m.
The eastbound lanes of North Marine Drive from the 4000 block to the 6000 block are expected to remain closed for several hours while the police Major Crash Team investigates the cause of the accident.
The investigation will provide crucial information that can help determine the factors that led to the crash and help prevent future accidents.
