North Precinct officers collaborated with business partners to conduct a successful retail theft mission in the Jantzen Beach area on May 2, 2023.
The mission resulted in several felony and misdemeanor arrests of chronic shoplifters, which have significantly impacted retail theft, property crime, and community livability.
During the operation By the North Precinct officers, Police made five arrests, recovered $600.74 worth of stolen merchandise, seized an illegal firearm, and recovered two stolen vehicles. Two vehicles were able to elude the police.
The suspects arrested included:
- Ana Peraza-Munoz, 34, was wanted for traffic offenses and theft.
- Steven Coonrod, 53, was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen vehicle, reckless driving, and eluding a police officer
- Lovely Fangupo, 30, was charged with three counts of theft.
- Brian Howell, 33, wanted for theft and Zachary Michaels, 32, wanted for escape from community custody and failure to register as a s*x offender.
