OSU Athletic Director Scott Barnes Discharged from Hospital

CORVALLIS, Ore.— Scott Barnes, who is in charge of sports at Oregon State University, was released from the hospital on Wednesday afternoon 26 April 2023. On Sunday, he had what the school called “a medical event.”

Barnes, who is 60 years old, used to play hoops at Fresno State. On Saturday night, he was at the school to receive an award. The next day, he was taken to Saint Agnes Medical Center. Since 2016, he has been the AD at Oregon State. Before that, he worked at Pitt and Utah State.

Oregon State didn’t say anything else about Barnes’s health.

In a statement, Barnes said, “The Barnes family is so thankful for all the love, prayers, and support from Beaver Nation and beyond.”
