According to a recent report by Simplex, a leading transportation business that provides complete trucking firm compliance solutions, Wyoming is the most hazardous state for truck drivers.
According to an analysis by Simplex using the most recent statistics from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, in 2020, Wyoming had the most significant proportion of f@tal collisions involving heavy trucks.
Twenty of the 113 fatal collisions in Wyoming in 2020 included commercial vehicles, according to statistics from the Wyoming Highway Patrol. “This research offers an interesting insight into which states are lagging behind the goal of making roads safer for truck drivers,” a Simplex spokesperson said. “It also highlights the need for these states to consider implementing more truck-safe road systems for drivers.”
“According to the NHTSA, there are thousands of fatal crashes involving large trucks every year, so this study could alert truck drivers to prepare better when journeying in these particular states,” they added.
